DEMI MARTIN - STUDIO OWNER
Demi started dancing at age five at Nicole Marie School of Dance before commencing full-time training at Tanya Pearson Classical Coaching Academy. During her full-time training Demi completed her RAD Advanced II & Cecchetti Advanced I levels with distinction & high distinction.
In 2015 Demi began teaching RAD ballet and in 2018 completed her registered teaching certificate with the Royal Academy of Dance under the mentorship of Nicole Dunn.
Demi has since worked with a number of Sydney studios preparing students for RAD examinations from Primary through to Advanced II levels.
Alongside her teaching experience at a number of dance studios, Demi has continued her professional development training in contemporary dance. Most influentially, with Metamorphosis Dance Collective at their residencies in Mexico City, Spain and Portugal in 2016 & 2018.
In 2016 Demi joined Austinmer Dance Theatre performing with the company for 4 years.
In 2018 Nicole Dunn passed her studio onto Demi, becoming Demi Jean Dance in 2019.
With a passion for movement and the arts, Demi’s diverse experience and push for excellence in dance technique is the driving force behind her studio.
NICOLE DUNN
Nicole Dunn has been a registered teacher with the RAD since 1985. Completing all her RAD teaching exams with Distinction by the age of 17. Her career in dance has been dedicated to teaching, and her love and passion for classical ballet and all genres of dance, inspired her to open Nicole Marie School of Dance at the young age of 16, of which she was principal for 34 years, and which has recently been handed over to Miss Demi Martin, Demi Jean Dance. In this time she nurtured and trained many young dancers, many of whom have gone on to have professional dance careers, in many dance related professions. She has also examined and adjudicated extensively during this time. Her greatest love however, remains in teaching, and working with young dancers, who would like to pursue a profession in the dance world, sharing with them her knowledge, understanding and love of Classical Ballet, and inspiring them to be passionate, motivated, creative and inspirational dancers!
